What is Giwa?

The concept is not new, the idea of yellow pages has been around in one form or another for more than 125 years, always with one goal in mind — helping small businesses compete and win. In Giwa, we brought this idea to our region by making it modern and digitized, to bring all small and medium enterprises to one place, easy to be found and communicated by investors or clients, foreigners and locals.

In Giwa, we provide the technical assistant to both foreigners and locals, who want to discover the local market and explore opportunities, understand and venture better; furthermore, enhancing the local economy and stepping it up.

In Giwa, we aim to be the same as the name, the elephant which digs into dry stream beds to uncover water that is lurking below the surface, digs waterholes and create footpaths, literally changing the landscape around them,planning to dig deep in the local markets, being the gate to all business and investments in the region.

Why is Giwa?

To many foreigners – and to a great deal of locals too! – the local markets in the region remind hidden and unknown, most of the provided services were governmental owned, until very recently after the political change, privet business started to flourish and grow, providing most needed services, a little over 30 categories covering most small-medium to large business, with all these fast and vast changes happening and still so little of it properly studied, recorded and most importantly explored!

Based on all of this, Giwa is an online platform indexing all service providers, for both foreigner and local, investors or clients, in addition to its great advertising potentials, Giwa studies and analysis the local ecosystem like never done before, providing trust worthy results, and strong built consultant, as well as trainings and networking events.
